Feed Grade Manganese Carbonate
Product Overview:
Feed Grade Manganese Carbonate (MnCO₃) is produced using the direct acidification method with soft manganese ore (two-ore method). The soft manganese ore is first calcined into manganese oxide, which is then acidified. This method reduces the calcination process, leading to cost savings, minimized environmental pollution, and lower equipment investments. The product appears as a rose-colored, triangular crystalline or amorphous white-brown powder.
Soluble in dilute inorganic acids, slightly soluble in common organic acid salts, and insoluble in liquid ammonia.
Stable in dry air, but prone to oxidation when moist, turning black due to the formation of manganese trioxide (Mn₂O₃).
Decomposes when heated, releasing CO₂ and hydrolyzing when boiled with water.
This feed grade manganese carbonate is primarily used in the production of animal feed, where it is an essential source of manganese. It is commonly added as a trace element to support animal growth, bone development, and enzyme function.
